Saturday 26th October
- Sunday 3rd November: Moon and Monoliths at Stonehenge
9.30am - 5pm. More details will be available later in the year.
Join me and my collaborators at Bournemouth University to learn all about
the solar and lunar alignments at this incredible ancient monument. Step inside
our mobile planetarium and embark on a journey to discover how our ancestors
utilised the movements of the stars, planets, and Moon to their benefit. This
event is being run to coincide with the next Major Lunar Standstill, a period when moonrise and
moonset are furthest apart along the horizon. Archaeologists believe that at
least one major standstill was marked during the early phase of Stonehenge.
